The Quays Shopping & Leisure Centre is easily accessible and only a short distance from all areas of Newry City. Our site can be accessed on foot from the Albert Basin Bridge going towards Bridge Street, a pedestrian entrance on the Dublin Road coming directly into The Quays, a pedestrian entrance on the Drumalane Road also or from the Fathom Line entrance on the Omeath Road.
The Quays Shopping Centre provides dedicated bicycle parking provision for staff and customers who wish to cycle to The Quays. We have 5 Sheffield Bicycle Parking Stands located to the right as you enter the site from the Fathom Line Omeath Road junction. Newry Train Station is located at Derrybeg Lane, Newry, BT36. A free shuttle bus runs from the Train Station to Newry Bus Station in Newry City Centre. The journey takes approximately 5 minutes. On foot from Newry Bus Centre, The Quays Shopping & Leisure Centre is only a 9 minute walk. Head South toward Bridge Street. Turn right onto Bridge Street. Newry Bus Centre is located at Canal Quay, Newry BT35 6BP. Newry Bus Centre is located in the centre of Newry City. The outbound bus service to Carrivemaclone Number 338C and the bus service to Forkhill Number 43, from Newry Bus Centre, both stop on the Dublin Road at Drumalane Chapel, next to a pedestrian access leading directly into The Quays Customer Car Park. We are delighted to announce that from October 2012 The Quays will be providing two dedicated Electric Car Charging Points located within The Quays Customer Car Park. These spaces will be clearly sign posted and the above logo will be marked in the space. We currently provide 2 motorbike parking spaces. With further development of The Quays Shopping & Leisure site the motorbike parking provision will increase to 10 parking spaces in the next 5 years
The Quays Shopping Centre has more than 1200 surface level car park spaces. The site can be accessed by car via the Bridge Street entrance or the Fathom line entrance. An exit only system operates for those who are Dublin Road bound onto the Drumalane Road. Travelling from Belfast Join the M1 signposted for The West, The South, Dublin. Leave the M1 at Sprucefield; at the following 2 roundabouts take 2nd exit onto the A1; Continue along the A1 for 30 miles; Take the route signposted Newry South; At the Cloghogue Roundabout take the first exit onto the Dublin Road travelling towards Newry City Centre. Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights onto Bridge Street; at the 3rd branch into the right hand turning lane and turn right. You have arrived! Travelling from Dublin Join the M50 motorway. Take route sign posted Belfast, The North, Airport; Continue on this route for 50 miles before reaching Newry South (passing through the MI toll Plaza along the way). At the Cloghogue roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Dublin Road. Continue forward on the Dublin Road, entering Newry City Centre. Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights onto Bridge Street; at the 3rd branch into the right hand turning lane and turn right. You have arrived!
